  ..So he looked at his coffee, growing cold in the freezing room.The coffee did not give off much steam, so he tried to gulp it down.He felt it burn his throat a little, and the birds outside were still creating a ruckus.
  
  He gazed at her and he simply admired her presence there and then.Life was too short to play with semantics, yet he hated and steadfastly refused to deal in obvious.She sipped her half-hot, half-steamed coffee and simply went on with life.
  
  The sunset came and went quite rapidly.The greyness covered the slits between the curtains.He leaned in his chair, and sighed a little sigh that sounded like the agony of 7 weeks.

  I'm guessing...that the subject has been suffering for the last 7 weeks, and the sigh that he's sighing, is like the culmination of the suffering for that length of time. I could be wrong.

  well, its a nice rant
  If i may say something; I like it but i feel its easier to read if the past and present scenes are elaborated alil bit more. I get the feeling like its been rushed.
  
  Also, i had abit of trouble connecting this 2 things as well:
