Results Day

He sits in his chair
Waiting
In utter trepidation
Waiting for the time to come.
The clock is on the wall
Ticking.
Ticking.
With every second that passes
It seems to get louder.
And louder.
He feels a tickle
Ticklish.
Should he answer the call of nature
Once again
For the umpteenth time?
Five o'clock
Oh, no.
The time has come
For the reckoning.
And a reckoning there shall be.
Sweat pouring down his face
Shivering.
Trembling.
Hardly daring to gaze his eyes
Upon what lies before him.
Oh, my.

Yeah thanks... I totally expected to do worse than last semester actually....
Anyway, I haven't been doing poetry in quite a while due to the combination of work + extreme stress + lack of time + (most disturbingly) a waning appreciation for poetry.
I hope I don't totally lose my appreciation for poetry.
