was just msning with tare and realised that most of the time I think in English....and tare says she tends to think in chinese.... which is probably why she can write Chinese poems so well...

i speak mandarin and english to most of my friends cham a bit of hokkien, melayu, cantonese and what have we..(ok that's singlish) however, i tend to think first in english then translate sometimes..
then it showed when i blabber stuff like this.. ' ba ni zi zi fang jing wo de xie zi xiang yi xiang ' (put yourself in my shoes).. it sounds funny to a chinese, but i guess we singaporeans are quite used to it. we can link quite well.. we grew up rojaklingual. -
sounds familiar... it's like one of those times when I would say to my friends "ni men chi xian" then realise it sounds wrong.... shld have been "ni men xian chi" but cos I was thinking in english as in "you guys eat first"... it all came out wrong... haha

Its just like trekkers go crazy over the countless series of Star Trek and why people go gaga over Star Wars.....different genre appeal to different people...
