Someone here said that writing poetry is like making love.
Me thinks writing poetry is like FISHING. Sometimes u throw in a line and nothing comes out of the water after hours, and u goes to zzzzzzzz.Then on a good day all sorts of fishes bite at ur line.
hey guys, can think of other analogies to add to this?

some would look for a muse
or even in self-abuse
a few resort to drink
hoping it'll help them think
some look at their life
and draw from their strife
some let their imagination soar
and make their words roar
me? i'll say just take the time
make your thoughts rhyme
and set them to a rhythm
and your words become a poem

to some it means everything,

not all appreciate van gogh,
some view him as insane,
not all understand shakespear,
some think he is too chim...
whatever your style may be,
just express it freely,
listen to constructive ideas,
and keep on practising...

Gosh, were we having fun!
It wasnt long before we moved on to
the game of serious foreplay -
Terse Tense Haikus - a feverish pitch
and forgot about the wordplay
You swore to me your love
with Shakespearean sonnets
While you moved in rhythm
Coupling to iambic couplets
Ah! The Metaphysics of love
The mysteries one can't shun
A gasp, A sigh, A gentle touch
and then, my love, we're Donne. -

It is absolutely okay to post non-poetry topics in DPS (S). However, flooding this forum with images of the rapper is a different matter.
I believe you are his fan; maybe you can write a poem about him instead?

enduring the smell
when it comes out u feel good
when it don't,thats it you are left with a horrible feeling
