Silence

  I am silent.
  Like a barnacle out of the water
  Like a man stuck in a rave disco
  with cops around him
  Like the minute dust
  gathered on a lunar probe abandoned
  decades ago
  Like the citizen who has
  served his time

  Let me try to write one starting 'I am silent' also.
  
  I am silent
  Like legendary generals
  Surrounded by death
  Though victorious in battles
  But defeated in life
  What glory? What honour?
  When there is no one close
  To say goodbye?
