Saw the newspaper somedays ago, that students are being more so call ' in ' after school. They tuck out their shirt, wear their pants very low, all this sort of things when they go out after sch or something. This is mostly the common scene nowadays.
Is is wrong?
To me it is ok since it is already after sch and out of the sch boundary to cast the school rules on us. Moreover the uniform is jus the way it is for the time being, in sch we are still tucking it in after all. -

it is not exactly ok since it tarnishes the school's image - or at least tts wat the schools would like to say and would like students to believe.
personally i m ok as long as it does not border on decency and not brought to the extreme.
but in principle i would rather students change into their own clothes before going out rather than make their uniforms into fashion statements. -

For me it doesn't really matter. As long as they behave themselves in the public.

after school i would go home and change. why the hell would i wanna walk around in a school uniform when i can be more comfortable in civilian clothing????

e.g. a policeman should still have exemplary conduct after he knocks off. and u can forget about him wearing his uniform and going around and worse still, fooling around, although u may argue tt the rules tt bound him during office hours should not extend into his personal life. -

there is a reason why it is called a uniform. it was meant to be worn that way, if you want to wear it any other, it wouldn't be called a uniform.
freedom? the kids have all the freedom in the world. what other freedom do they want?
how would they like living in a time where there was a curfew for the whole country? when there were no malls, no public transport, etc etc.
the least they could do is to maintain some discipline and order in their lives. either they do that, or they do this saying "do what you want, just don't get caught".
