what do u think is lacking...

  in the education system for students who are not in the express / special stream?
  
  from primary school all the way to ITE (if they get into poly eventually, they would haf in a sense "joined" those who were in express).
  
  wat do you think could be done to improve the education for this group of youngsters? wat do they want from education?
  
  and any other related comments are welcomed too.

  maybe they lack in the tough competition in express times? think express is going at a much faster rate than them.

  dreams.. the chance to dream... and a chance to achieve the dream...
  
  how many times have we heard that those with dreams that are not part of the conventional are ruthlessly ground into the dirt by our education system?
  
  therefore a chance to dream...
  
  p.s. this is also true for express/special.. only to a slightly lesser degree..

  they can jus tt they take a longer time. hm.. ok. mabbe i wasnt clear. basically wat i meant was whether the system could be improved for students who need and want an education but are not academically inclined. these students are likely going to take the longest route - N level, ITE, poly, uni (?)
  
  for them, wat is lacking in the system now? teachers? resources? time?

  i agree...
  
  and hence my disenchantment when they opened the sports school and arts school but demand the entrants satisfy certain academic criteria... tt might be their only shot and they still haf to pour it down...

  One point to add, people have diff talents, like art and music and so on mention by wuming jus now. So people at the same time also have the diff learning ability and rate of aborption of knowledge handed to them. Them can learn at their own pace instead of the heavy workload which might be give to the express stream students daily, normal stream will have got lesser work to do.
