Sounds promising.. any idea where to buy it.. ?Originally posted by the Bear:N.P. - Banana Yoshimoto
N.P. is about the last story of a Japanese writer.. written in english when he was in boston and each time a translator tries to translate it to japanese, he's stopped by death..
somewhere in the latest attempt at translation, there is friendship, love, incest, lots of weirdness... but is always simple and compelling..
the sense of sadness in the book.. demands repeated reading..

This book is essentially a guide written by ex-Ceo about surviving in U.S prisons and adapting to life inside. A light-hearted view and very often hilarious. One of those books that gets u into fits of laughter with every page u turn. Included is a list of must-haves in the prison, prison slang, the art of picking up soaps and others.
One can easily finish this rather thin book within a week. Thus, i will recommend everyone to grab this book in any bookstore and read it during the lunch hour. Probably can finish it within a week if u are a quick reader.
