With streaming and all?Originally posted by 798:keep back the old tradition education system n improve awareness in moral education.
i will make sure i will not screw up the SES like the current indian minister who change the system n treated students like guinea pigs every now n then.
yes! i believe normal stream students do not want to mix wif those students who given them little breath to cope wif their studies.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:With streaming and all?
If it's really some old systems... then I don't know.
But the streaming one... I'm against it. How many of these top students really know what they have studied? In a knowledge economy, the ability to regurgitate out everything is not an issue, but able to apply them is.
Haizz... don't try how we know a system works? RP students are guinea pigs too.
I wouldn't say PBL will work for all. If they are independent learners, then not a problem. If they aren't, then no point forcing...
Oh...Originally posted by 798:yes! i believe normal stream students do not want to mix wif those students who given them little breath to cope wif their studies.
wat i meant is the more change in the system, it will make it worse than before.
in my time, there is no such thing as normal tech or normal academic, or em1 2 or 3. the way they implemented it n discarded it have proven dat they r being incapable for their decision.
yeah, then it will ever made us wonder why implement it in the 1st place?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Oh...
Now there's no EM1, 2 or 3, I wonder if is it better now? Haven't heard of any news yet... hopefully it's good news.

how bout parents MUST submit a bi-monthly report on the progress of the lifestyle for their child?Originally posted by the Bear:$*#& all that..
i'd make sure the fricken parents are educated first... first time parents of children aged 3 must be made to go learn their own responsibilities and what the bloody education system is not responsible for..
- like the morality of their children
- that schools are not to blame if their children 'go bad'
- that after school hours, the parents are the responsible party
- that the schools are not child-care centres
stuff like that..

failure to do so will disqualify their children to be barred from examination!
What about university students?Originally posted by 798:if i am a minister, i will give benefit to poly students by paying the same bus fare like those jc students. BUT the drawback is... these poly students MUST wear proper sch uniform to campus.
this is to ensure that poorer students do not have to stand the pressure of others wearing brand clothes to school n will give better image to our students.

Uniforms for poly students... sounds good. But nobody seems to be wearing uniforms properly.
Hmm... not sure. An environment can affect a child, so if a child goes bad because of influences from other peers, who will be responsible?Originally posted by the Bear:$*#& all that..

yeah! dat's the reason why i feel sch n parents should work together for the child's progress. sch have play a part on academic, while parents maybe should do their homework too by looking out for their child after school.Originally posted by the Bear:to whom?
you??
sheesh.. the main aim is to make the parents responsible for their own children...
personal responsibility.. something which a lot of people seem to lack these days, don't you think?
Will this make Singapore a better place? We can teach a person, but whether they accept, it's another issue.Originally posted by 798:how bout parents MUST submit a bi-monthly report on the progress of the lifestyle for their child?
