warhh.. when i had lunch wif mah frenz ysterday, dey were talkin bout gg for eng tuition. n their eng is like so much betta than mine liao lorhh.. i mean, i whd not even haf to think bout gettin an A for eng lahx.. dis yr i got a C5 loh. hahahaa.. n it's alwayz veri bad one.. so how? nex yr O levels liao..

Actually, those boring English lessons on "subject-verb agreement", "complex structures" and tenses are useless. English is not a subject whereby you study notes like how you study for Humanities. I have seen how some students pause in the middle of their composition to think about "this one should be present or past tense ah?". Read The Straits Times or any other publications that intrigues you. In this way, your language will be very fluent and you will find that your command of the language has improved.

To improve you have to read more newspaper, write more, use more dictionary to increase your vocabs

write properly with proper grammar, punctuation and spelling...
read... read a lot.. especially newspapers...
and hey! read comics like Asterix... read the words properly.. because everything in there has a few meanings... just like the names of the characters...
Asterix, like asterisk... what we do in english.. we put a "*" where things stand out.. Asterix stands out as he is the hero of the series...
Obelix.. as in Obelisk.. a stone column... which is something like what he makes and delivers.. menhirs...
there are much to read and reading, is a great habit... and the more you read, the better your english becomes
enjoy your reading!
