Fire breaks out at hotel under construction near Farrer Park
SINGAPORE: Fire broke out in a building, believed to be a hotel under construction near Farrer Park, on Wednesday night (Dec 7).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the blaze at about 7.30pm. It added that the fire was confined to a room in an uncompleted building along Owen Road.
The building is believed to be Park Hotel Farrer Park, which is scheduled to open next year.
Photos sent to Channel NewsAsia showed flames and smoke coming from a window on one of the upper floors of the building.
SCDF said the fire had been extinguished as of 9pm.
