Two cars damaged in fire at Punggol Walk carpark
SINGAPORE - A car caught fire at a Punggol Walk carpark on Saturday (Nov 26) morning, but no injuries were reported.
It is understood that another car parked beside it was also damaged.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident at Block 310B, Punggol Walk, at 8.54am.
The fire, which involved two cars, was under control in 10 minutes. No one was injured or evacuated, SCDF said.
A Straits Times reader, who did not want to be named, said that he heard "explosions" at about 8.45am.
The fire alarm was activated and he saw "thick smoke" emitting from the basement carpark of Block 310B.
The two cars damaged were a Volkswagon and an Audi, he said.
SCDF sent three fire engines and four support vehicles to the scene.
