Five injured after taxi and bus collision in Woodlands
SINGAPORE: Five people were injured Wednesday morning (Oct 19) in an accident between a taxi and a private bus.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident at 6.20am. When its officers arrived they saw that the taxi driver was trapped. Using hydraulic rescue tools, they freed him.
Of the five people injured in accident at Woodlands Ave 6, four suffered head injuries, said SCDF. Four were conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, while one was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the five people injured had been in the taxi.
SCDF added that they deployed four ambulances, a red rhino, a fire engine and four supporting appliances.
