Fire breaks out at Orchard Towers; no one injured
SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at Orchard Towers on Wednesday morning (Aug 31). According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), it was alerted to the incident at about 8.15am. There were no reported injuries, it said.
The blaze was extinguished with a water jet, and about 15 people self-evacuated before SCDF arrived on the scene.
A spokesperson for SCDF said it dispatched two fire engines, two Red Rhinos, two firebikes and two support vehicles to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, SCDF added.
