Stomper Catherine heard two loud explosions as thick smoke came billowing out of a flat at ​Block 376, Clementi Avenue 4.
The incident occurred today, May 24, at about 1.30pm.
Neighbours and fellow residents, who had crowded around to see the incident, had said the fire started from a bedroom on the 9th floor.
Catherine heard two bangs and the windows of the flat had shattered, sending glass pieces spewing down.
According to her, there was no one injured.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was seen assisting with the situation.
Fire breaks out in Clementi flat, no one injured
SINGAPORE- A fire broke out in the master bedroom of a flat in Blk 376, Clementi Ave 4 on Sunday.
No one was injured. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the residents of the unit on the ninth floor evacuated themselves. About 50 other people from the block were also evacuated. The incident happened at about 1.20pm.
The SCDF put out the fire using one water jet.
