Fire at No. 1, Jalan Samulun
SCDF was alerted to a fire incident at a shipyard at the above location. 4 Fire Engines, 2 Red Rhinos, 6 Supporting Vehicles, 2 Ambulances and two Marine Fire Vessels were sent to the location.
There were four vessels berthed alongside one
another at the said location. Upon SCDF arrival, all four vessels were
on fire, of which one was fully engulfed in flames and sank. SCDF
deployed a total of eight hand-held water jets from the fire engines and
two foam monitors from one of the Marine Fire Vessel. Fire was brought
under control within 90mins.
One male individual was sent to the Singapore General Hospital for burnt
injuries. SCDF is currently conducting secondary search for casualties
at the location.

Fire at No. 1, Jalan Samulun - Update 1
The fire was extinguished by the SCDF at 4.30am this morning.
There were a total of four casualties. SCDF conveyed one male casualty from the incident site to Singapore General Hospital. The other three casualties who were in a passing vessel in the vicinity of the fire were ferried by a Police Coast Guard (PCG) craft to the PCG Gul Base and thereafter conveyed by SCDF ambulances to the National University Hospital.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is currently co-ordinating a seaward search and rescue (SAR) operation for three persons who are unaccounted for. The SAR operation involves 2 MPA and 1 Police Coast Guard craft.
In total, there were 4 casualties conveyed to hospital:
a. 1 male casualty with burn injuries sent to SGH.
b. 2 male casualties sent to NUH for burn injuries.
c. 1 male casualty sent to NUH for cuts and suspected fracture of a finger.
Fire investigations are still ongoing.
