SINGAPORE: Two girls suffered from smoke inhalation when fire broke out in the HDB flat they were in.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the incident happened at about 12.30pm on Monday in the kitchen of a second-storey flat in Block 611, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5.
Firefighters, who found the door open when they arrived, took about 10 minutes to put out the fire.
The girls, who are three and four years old, did not suffer from any burns.
They were sent to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
SCDF is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
