Change of Command at SCDF 3rd Division

  Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) commissioner Eric Yap on Friday, witnessed Lieutenant-Colonel (Lt-Col) Ling Young Ern, recite the oath of command at the third Civil Defence Division headquarters in Yishun.

  The 36-year-old father of two, will take over command of the division from Lt-Col Abdul Razak Abdul Raheem, 44, on Sunday.

  Lt-Col Abdul Razak, who has been commander of the division since 2009, assumes his new post as director of public affairs on the same day.

  The division's jurisdiction spans across the northern and north-eastern part of Singapore, which is served by three fire stations and four fire posts.
