Hi,
Would like to know if there is confinement as some are saying that have but most are saying don't have... So is there confinement for SCDF NS??

during my time there wasn't but if there any changes now then I'm not too sure..
you'll be booking out on the same week friday if there's no confinement..
meanwhile, enjoy ur remaining time as a civilian as much as you can..

There is confinement for the first weekend, I just booked out this friday after my confinement. Enjoy :p

Yes, there is confinement. So will be going in on tues, will come out on the next fri...
On a side note, i want to ask if A level cert, is the chances of being posted to SCC and FRS high?

well it depends on your eyesight too..
if I remember correctly, you'll be asked to fill up a form stating which vocation you prefer (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc) then they will shortlist you for an interview..

Quite excited to enter haha. But i heard ptp batch just PT and footdrills... No rescue training yet... sadddd.

Another question which may sound stupid: Can our parents drive into the SCDF training center or must take shuttle bus??

The driving thing idk... My parents drive too. But I think taking 172 from boon lay.
I heard Alpha company very strict one. The encik damn fierce. Hope dont get that one. Haha.

yup, as the PTP name suggest that's where you'll get trained for your physical fitness & also your footdrills..
also, before you POP there'll be a footdrill competition among all the companies so try to do your best and make your company proud by winning..
rescue training will only being when you start your BRT phase..

yes but do note that the vehicle will be subjected to security checks & parking spaces are limited..

provost & instructors just to name some..
your instructors or platoon sgts will tell you more when the time comes or you can ask them too..

depending on which company you're posted to..
but then again, you'll still get charged for failure to comply with order, etc..you'll get to know these during your NS life so just remember, try to stay out of trouble..

just follow the camp routine orders and you should be fine..
and always ask when in doubt..

B1L1, got silver for IPPT.
Alpha is the strictest company, but it's not that bad. If you don't do anything stupid then the 2 weeks won't be a problem. Charlie coy is quite fun, Delta is for obese. If I'm not wrong Bravo is PES C.
If you have A lvs or Poly Diploma, there's a damn high chance they'll send you for Section Commander Course or Fire Fighter Course, both are tough. The other vocations are instructor, driver, medic, provost, dog handler, storeman and a few others I can't remember. I'm in SCC now.
For the driving thing, your parents can drive in on the first day, don't have to park outside.
Ragging only got one recent case, they will tell you about it when you go in like 50000 times.
