SINGAPORE : A van driver was trapped in the driver's seat after his vehicle banged into a wall on Tuesday afternoon.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call about the accident at around 2.40pm.
SCDF officers went
to the accident scene at Lorong 4 Toa Payoh near Block 640 and managed
to extricate the driver using a hydraulic spreader.
The spreader uses a hydraulic system to squeeze or push parts of the vehicle apart to create space to pull the person out.
The injured driver, a Chinese in his 40s, has been taken to hospital.

Oh no, I was more curious as to why the reporter used the word "banged" into the wall instead of "crash".
