there is a kind of technology perhaps that could send signals to alert police/ scdf if there is a suicide attempt ....could be security lasers, some alert nettings below the water ...etc....
perhaps its time the SUTD (the new sg uni copying MIT) design one....

We have a few other reservoirs, Pierce Reservoir, Mandai Reservoir, MacRitchie Reservoir, Seletar Reservoir, Kranji Reservoir. All these have no suicide problem.
Why Bedok Reservoir?
Fencing, laser, CCTV, lake monsters, Cisco patrols are not the solution.
So what is the solution?
Turn it into an ice skating rink.

all those reservoir die there probably months later or years later people will never know. i see thos missing people if not died at these reservoirs must be murdered there. -

really i don;t fukin cum care. may be true, for chinese natinoals. if some other condo makers commpetitor can get a chinese national to die and pay him thousands or millions send the money back home - chinese natioinals sure can do it for money to helpo them devalue it. for me i am only fukin care bash foreign cheapo labor only

They will find lots of things there, like guns, knives, skeletons (Human and animals), motocycles, bicycles, RC boats, canoe, paddles, spectacles, dentures, jogging shoes, t-shirts, underwear, sanitary pads, umbrellas, fishing rods, worshiping idols and altars, urns (with human ashes), and if luck prevails a body or two that did not float.

Man's body found in Bedok Reservoir

The body of an unidentified man has been discovered in Bedok Reservoir, the seventh death linked to the area since mid-2011, according to media reports.
Channel NewsAsia reported that the Singapore Civil Defence Force said the body was found around 20 metres from the shore Saturday at around 5:20pm.
Police were tipped off by a caller at about 1pm that a person was entering the waters of the reservoir, sparking a search of the area, according to The Straits Times.
The man is said to have had curly hair, glasses and a tan complexion, and to have been in his 30s, CNA said, quoting an eyewitness.
Police are currently investigating the case.**********************************************
