The SCDF released a statement:
"The SCDF received a call at 11.39am this morning that there was an injured worker at the top of a crane.
"We dispatched one fire engine, one red rhino, 2 supporting appliances which include DART personnel and an ambulance.
"We arrived in 5 minutes and discovered that the worker's right foot was injured.
"We sent SCDF personnel up by the ladder and managed to bandage his right foot.
"He was conscious throughout and very alert.
"Because of his injury, we could not bring him down by the ladder.
"Using the buddy rappel system, we rappelled him down.
"He was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat hospital.
"The worker is a 24-year-old male foreign worker."
