THEY may have been around for only six years, but the rescue divers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) have already established themselves as one of the SCDF's core units.
Since water rescue was added to the SCDF's Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (Dart) in 2004, the dive team has chalked up more than 100 rescue missions - with 22 water-related rescues last year and 36 in 2009.
