SINGAPORE : The latest edition of the Singapore Civil Defence Force's emergency handbook was launched on Saturday.
Now in its 20th year, the latest handbook incorporates new topics such as advisories for travellers on what to do in the event of earthquakes and typhoons overseas.
It also gives advice on first-aid for sprains, strokes and fits.
The book was launched by Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs, Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee.
It will be available for collection at all Community Clubs, Civil Defence and neighbourhood police centres.
It
is also available at the CD Division Headquarters, Fire Stations, Fire
Posts, Police Division Headquarters, Police Posts and Home Team NS
Clubhouses.
An iPhone application on fire safety was also launched on Saturday.
It allows iPhone and iPad to view emergency procedures using interactive and step-by-step animation and videos.
