SINGAPORE: The driver of a cement mixer suffered serious injuries after an accident involving two other lorries Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred along Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, near the Jurong Port Road exit, and left the driver of the cement mixer unconscious.
Civil Defence officers found the driver - a man in his 60s - trapped in his cabin.
They used a spreader-cutter and released him within ten minutes.
The driver of the first lorry, a man in his 50s, complained of pain in his lower back, while a passenger in the second lorry reported feeling giddy.
All were taken to the Singapore General Hospital for treatment.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force sent several emergency vehicles to the scene.
They included two fire bikes, one fire engine, one red rhino, two ambulances and one support vehicle.
