Singapore Civil Defence Force has new ambulances enetering EAS fleet this month. Model is Mercedes Benz CDI515/518.
I manage to take a few pics of new A151 based in Bishan FS. A151 was parked @ Toa Payoh FP today, lucky me
A151 is now using QX451D.
Few points to note on new Alpha:
1-Top front cover no longer has "Ambulance Lighted Sign" . But has blue Paramedic instead.
2- Red cheatlines along top side body gone & red cheatline across engine to side door windows also gone
3- No blue Paramedic logos at back doors
4- New LED Red & Blue lights now on top side body!!!
Maybe this is just 1st of the new fleet to be on run, thus so many things missing..i hope the rest of new fleet will be correct
I will start to 'hunt' for more new ambulances soon after CNY..

so far I only managed to find the above 5 plate nos. that were registered..
all are still the 515 CDI, its just that the markings have changed & not the engine..
suspect more to be registered after CNY..

A111 along New Bridge Rd @1325hrs proceeding for 995 call
Saw A441 Along Choa Chu Kang Road heading towards Bukit Panjang Road. I must comment that can't really see the flashing lights of the new Alpha unless I'm right infront of it. The side strobes aren't really visible in daylight. Was driving in opposite direction so didn't get plate number.

did you notice the side strobes were they in both red & blue colour..

Yup... The blue almost couldn't be seen. The red barely visible. I mean when it strobes. The flashes could hardly be seen.
perhaps due to the sunny days that we're having recently..
to be on the safe side, please always give way to emergency ambulances..

Goes without saying. Everytime I hear/notice any emergency vehicle, I would give way. Being a first responder myself I hate it when people don't give way.

glad to hear that..
but unfortunately, there's still some who don't..

*The new Red&Blue Lights on side body can not make it lah...not bright as the old Red&White* Sign...why can't SCDF invest in more better LED lights
A312 along CTE @ 2020
A312 ( QX452B ) on site RTA case junction Yishun Ave 1/ Lentor Ave @0710hrs
Any idea why the switch:
(a) Originally all SCDF emergency used the red flasher scheme;
(b) Then came the Red & White Strobe Flashers;
(c) Now the Red / Blue, which was more of Police Strober Scheme?
Thanks

perhaps they would like to have a change..
but then again by having the red/blue strobe, it will somewhat make motorist slow down as they thought there's a police roadblock for example..
in short, it's a mind kinda effect..
A112 using QX454 now.
