SCDF will sound alarms this Tuesday
Don't be alarmed when you hear the loud sound of sirens in the air on Tuesday next week, lasting about a minute.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force will be sounding the Public Warning System islandwide at around noon that day.
You will hear the "Important Message" signal and after doing so, you can immediately tune in to any local FM radio station to listen to a special info-mercial broadcast to learn more about the sirens.
The warning system is a network of sirens placed at strategic points throughout the island to warn the public of imminent threats that could endanger lives and property.
The sounding is part of SCDF's continuous effort to familiarise the public with the signals, also to raise awareness on what they should when they hear them.

Dun be alarmed if you hear this in MRT near you because that is downloadable as ring tone or SMS tone.
People actually dl that man.
