hmmm... i;m not reallie sure abt this but i think fire fighters and officers (of cos) has the highest pay?
btw cikko what time are u enlisting?

if u're enlisting to SCDF straight, u won't be able to go up to officers course, unless for those who when through ERS n got chosen to go to officer course. for high pay wise, firefighters and sect comms gets the highest other than officers.

Rescue Battalion or Firefighter pay are 700
Section Comander aka SGT are 1000
Officer i not sure
But the thing about SCDF is to challange yourself to get a fire badge , it worth +$300 to your salary, FYI above salary has already added the $300 liao

sgt shld be about 1.2k while 2LT is about 1.3k while 1LT is about 1.6k.

SCDF only got 1 type of LT , there no 2LT or 1LT -
hey guys im a pes c also enlisting to scdf, was wondering for pes c9l2 after bmt post to unit isit 9-5 or stay-in unit? cos im intending to further my studies during my time in scdf, taking night class. and if let say i kana stay-in unit isit possible to go out during the night for class?

Hey Akister, I'm new here. Was googling "SCDF NS" and I came across your other post. I think I'm in the same predicament, except I actually really really wanted to be in the army, so in addition to the puzzlement there is a great sense of frustration and a sense of inferiority that I didn't make the cut. In any case, it seems like you guys are enlisting way early! I'm only going in in April.

hi, which means that you've got about 4 more months to go before your enlistment..
enjoy ur civilian life while it lasts & being enlisted with the scdf is not a bad thing after all..

dere is two. although wearing de same rank. but according to payslip, dere is oso 2LT n 1LT. for nsf, highest is 1LT. understand now? similarly, for subsequent ranks, dere is oso 2CPT n 1CPT. -

mactor, i have an injury on my wrist but it is after my medical check up... so wat do u suggest i do? cuz now it hurts if i try doin more than 10 push ups... btw, im in pes A and napfa gold... will it affect my chances to go ers if i tell them about my injury during enlistment? thx in advance

very sorry to hear about ur wrist injury..
for ERS, if you choose & get selected, you'll need to go through an interview whereby they will ask you some questions which includes your health of course..
its highly recommended that you'll let them know otherwise if anything happens during your ERS training or when you pass out for your vocation then there might be trouble..

go for screening. yes, it will definitely affect ur chances.

yo guys! im from the 110th PTP batch that enlisted on 9th dec 2008! wish u all gd luck for ur preparations! SCDF will turn out really different froom what u expect

now 110th intake liao, nevertheless just follow wat u're supposed to do & u should be fine..
learn all the things that they teach coz it might just come in handy someday..

seriously u kidding me lol? honestly all the recruits are scared shitless in his presence! anyway just booked out for christmas, enjoying life now. Hoping to go ERS when the PTP stage ends, so that can skip BRT :D Merry Christmas (Eve) everyone!

yup, i was scared shitless by him too, when i was a recruit.
lol he looks abit insane type la. will anyhow grab u and whack you, but i promise he's really good.
one time my friend decided to awol or smth? becaue of the unfair treatment by the upper management on his trainee. my friend was an instructor. the upper management wanted to throw him into DB, but encik tong threatened to resign, then dressed as a civilian look for my friend.
and told him, he came to him as a friend, and not as an encik, and asked him to come back and not awol.
my friend was so touched he came back.
