a friend's brother who is a medic says he delivered a baby before dunno if he's just joking or what, but do NSmen get to do that??
i was trained as a specialist. but no. never learnt how to deliver baby before... usually they will turn out ambulance la. not pumper.
usually NSmen who serve their NS with SCDF as an ambulance medic will most definately encounter maternity cases. Usually the medic will just assist the paramedic when it comes to delivery so your friend is not joking at all.
ok. it's a situation that totally didn't cross my mind. will a medic be trained for it? usually who become medics? pes A, A lvl graduate?

Usually when you're in the medic course after you pop from recruit, they will teach you the basics & you've got to ask if you wanna know more & I've mentioned, medics are mainly to assist the paramedics. Usually, its the pes A & B who will be more like to be medics
