Fire at gas plant on Jurong Island

  SINGAPORE: Fire broke out at a gas plant on Jurong Island on Thursday morning, injuring one worker.
  
  Callers to the MediaCorp News hotline said the incident occurred at about 8am.
  
  Workers from Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide in Jalan Buroh put out the blaze with water from a hose—reel.
  
  The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the fire involved a pipeline from a generator on the first floor of the building.
  
  The SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire. —CNA/vm
