SCDF New Ambulance A211

Finally, after days of waiting....I saw the new SCDF ambulance. Very sleek & rugged looking Merc Ambulance. Stn 21/A211 was seen @ Changi's A/E. I am gald SCDF is finally using LED lights( Which is Brighter when flashing ) the old strobe lights are fine but under hot sun, it can't be seen. But LED lights is powerful even under bright weather.

You should have titled this post as "SCDF New Ambulances" instead so that all info relating to them can be posted here...anyway, I've got info that Changi FS (Stn 22) will be getting the new alpha in about estimated 2 weeks time & will be getting my camera ready for that

sigh even KK ambulances are using the new FERNO main cot... but the new alpha's interior seems a tad less spacious than the previous alpha... i wonder how AA can walk ard with the lifepack on the floor...

well, heard that the new alpha's main cot is kinda hard to use as compared to the old main cot & probably I may need sometime to orientate myself with the new main cot...indeed its a tad less spacious & even doing CPR might be a bit of a problem due to the space constrain..also heard that the side view mirrors aren't able to retract as compared to the other alphas so parking in tight spots might be a challenge too...Originally posted by kenshin_himura:sigh even KK ambulances are using the new FERNO main cot... but the new alpha's interior seems a tad less spacious than the previous alpha... i wonder how AA can walk ard with the lifepack on the floor... -
QX176Z of A211 was replaced with QX4499R due to an unknown fault...saw it on cubicon yesterday

Changi FS (Stn 22) has received it latest alpha on Monday bearing the plate no. is QX179R & it won't be on the run any moment soon but will let you know when it starts operation

Changi FS (Stn 22) has started using QX179R (now A221) as of today & QX5212U (former A221) is now being re-numbered to A222. Heard that QX4950D (former A222) would be use as stn 22 ops steadfast alpha but currently is with delgro for some maintenance work

Nice to see that A221 is now with brand new QX179R and A222 is using QX5212U....By the way, can you enlight me what is the real term of " Ops Steadfast Alpha" ?

Whats the tolerance of the crew driver when not giving way to it during emergency?

Well, spare ambulances will only be given by delgro or ST Kinetics (for latest alphas) if they find that the problem can't be rectified on-site

If you're a driver, please drive with a heart & give way to emergency vehicles especially ambulances as every min counts. There's a camera which can capture motorists who fail to give way & action will be taken against them

By the way, SMRT Buses.....have you rode & used the new Alpha oredi? Did you noticed the small LED lights on front engine? It's flashing RED on one side & the other side is BLUE....Something new SCDF trying out??? -
i think should use ferrari as ambulance as you need the speed to get sick/injured to hospital

You think SCDF will really cough out the money for ferrari ambulance (if there really is such thing). Anyway, I'll still prefer ambulance being Mercedes-Benz

It gives a traffic police vehicle kinda look when the lights are activated especially during the night...

Actually i think SCDF should use car wagons with rear converted to medical facilities such as bed etc.This will make it easier to navigate around cars during emergency.Of course,engines option will be better as u can go for wagons such as E55 Estate(special order though),Audi RS4 Avant etc
All this wagons can go pass 250km/h(speed limited)
