SCDF officers put out blaze at Specialists Shopping Centre
SINGAPORE : A fire broke out at the old Specialists Shopping Centre on Orchard Road on Thursday morning.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force officers successfully put out the fire.
Officers said the blaze was caused by welding work on the seventh floor rooftop where workers were dismantling some metal structures.
No one was injured in the fire. — CNA/ch -

Details Fire involved an un-operational air-conditioning cooling tower (4M X 3M) at the 7th floor of the premises. Fire was extinguished by SCDF using 1X fire extinguisher & 1X internal hosereel jet. No one was injured. Fire was put out at 12:06:35 & was classified as Cat C1-Accidental due to hot works (sparks from the hot works landed on the fibreglass fabric of the cooling tower) -
