Disruption help.

hi everyone.
I received my enlistment letter the other day, i'm allocated to SCDF but the thing is during the enlistment date which is in december, i'm still having school which will only end until february next year.
So right now, since the enlistment letter has already been received, I should go for a "disruption of service"? Am I right?
Another question is that whether after I disrupt my national service to another time, will it be the same allocation, as in will I still be going to scdf? -
Firstly, when is your enlistment date? As you mentioned the ""disruption of service" is actually termed deferment & you must follow the instructions in your enlistment letter (if any) regarding the procedures of deferment. Yes, you will still be enlisted in SCDF if your deferment is successful

Ask school for letter stating when your course will end and follow the instructions on the letter and submit to SCDF.

Not true.. I've heard of people who deferred, example from army, and when they were called up for enlistment again, they got SCDF.

really? thats sad, cause scdf seems to be an interesting place to be allocated, most probably I guess I will get army next time than, that is a high possibilityOriginally posted by fwert:Not true.. well, in any case, u still have to inform SCDF first about your deferment plans. they will do the paperwork before deciding whether to pass the ball back to MINDEF CPC.

what was did you get at first, and what were you given finally when you get enlisted after deferment ? -
For me, I received my enlistment notice with the SCDF but that time I decided to continue with my studies so I just submitted my deferment online when I was following the steps of registering in the enlistment notice but glad to be SCDF after completing my 2 yr course...Originally posted by silvernitrate:anyway , anyone have this experience before? whereby you got an enlistment letter, but you need to do a deferment.
