One question... since GPS navigation systems are so prevalent now... why cant they fit them into the ambulances?

A221 (QX5212U) was off the run yesterday night at 2100hrs due to faulty power steering, contractors from ComfortDelGro were called but they were unable to rectify the problem (as expected) & had to loan A232 (QX5301X) for the night & was returned this morning at 0730hrs

A222 (QX4950D) was changed to QX4499R on the 28/12 due to a faulty side door that needs welding as well as a leaking radiator.

WOOT an new alpha had its first day today! its was A 211 if i am not wrong.. but its confirm to be stn 21! sleek new main cot and nice interior on the whole.

Anyone got pics of these new amb? Or rather anyone from SCDF that can update how this new Alpha is? Design, livery????

Just hoping that the new alpha arrives soon @ changi fs so that I can snap some pics of it...it looks almost exactly like the QX 5XXX series if I'm not wrong & some diff are the added word "emergency" on the front of the bonnet to make it emergency ambulance & also the Keep Clear reflective sign (? by 3M)Originally posted by HKFS88:Anyone got pics of these new amb? QX4950D (A222) broke down on Sunday at 0000hrs & was temporary replaced with QX4949J

Spotted A212 using old ambulance QX4560X today going towards Changi hospital....

QX5212U (A222) was replaced with QX4493G due to a minor accident while turning out for call. Till date, QX4950D is still with Delgro

On mine.....what happen to A222 ( QX5212U )? Hope the minor accident did't really damage the Alpha

Not much damage except for the left right bumper which needs repair. A slight makeover should just do the job

QX179R (A221) off-run for the the whole of yesterday until about 1830 hrs due to the faulty glide-rite system. The contractor from Delgro also "damaged" the right rear door handle of QX179R. Personnel from STK will be rectifying the faults today.
QX4950D (A222) was finally back from Delgro yesterday was temporary used as A221 & was back on the run @ 1930 hrs.

thanks for the question..its still currently at stn 22 (changi fire stn) awaiting for the contractors to come fix the damage front part caused by an accident while turning out for call at stn..
heard that it was sub-contracted out & I don't think ComfortDelgro will undertake this repair job but anyway will keep you updated once I've got any news on QX5212U
