other places as in..
usually there's no nearest ambulances available for that particular incident site so the next nearest available alpha will be dispatched instead..

Hope this is not classified info but are we able to get down to ambulance deployments i.e. which one is rostered to duty to which station at a particular time of the day.
It is interesting that Tampines only has one ambulance to cover night. Where do the rest go to?

for tampines case, morning duty there's 2 ambulances running, one will be at stn & the other at pasir ris fire post..
for nite duty, the ambulance at pasir ris fire post will declare "off-run" and the ambulance at stn still remains on duty..
A231 spotted along Simei Street 1 earlier at 1809hrs..
A332 on 995 call @ Changi Airport T3 departure hall @1220hrs/25mar.

btw... what is standby case?
Originally posted by SBST390:btw... what is standby case?
stanby cases are classified as P1..
some examples of standby cases are: unconscious, slashing, etc..
either the medic or paramedic needs to standby the nearest hospital that they will be en-routing to so that they can prepare the required medical equipments they need to revive the patient who is unconscious for example..
regarding the private operators of EAS, any news on what vehicles they will use?
Normally motorists will yield to SCDF vehicles but when they see those private ambulances especially those with tinted window, damn suspcious to give way.

still no news of which type of vehicles they will use till date but most importantly, their vehicles must have the life saving equipments like what the SCDF ambulances are having..
sad to say, some motorists still fail to give way when they see the SCDF ambulances with their beacon lights on..
can those hiace or urvan fit in the equipments?

with a bit of re-arragement, I'm sure it can be done..
otherwise they got to upgrade their current fleet of vehicles which I don't think they will due to the cost factor..

Don't it need to be the high roof to allow the medic to walk in the cabin?

currently, only SCDF ambulances which are Mercedes-Benz Sprinters have the high roof aka box type..
for those private ones, as long as the movements of the medical personnels are not constrained then it shouldn't be a problem..
this thread w.e.f now shall be used to discuss strictly about SCDF ambulances..
anything related to private ambulances engaged by SCDF shall be posted in this particular thread http://www.sgforums.com/forums/1498/topics/354245
