Ya only a few vocation for PES C9. There's no confinement for SCDF recruits unless you have guard duties or you gt extra (Guard Duty oso lar). But its nothing much actually, juz walk ard the whole brtc with shifts.~ Btw, brtc stage is the most enjoyable stage in SCDF, enjoy it while u can.... i dun understand when my seniors told me this when i was a recruit but now i'm 10000000% agreeable to his words haha.Originally posted by psk_ash:Omg.. onli this few vocation nia.. wakaka... ok loh.. anyway.. is there 2 weeks confinement in the SCDF?? -

i heard someone suicided there, and they built this house to honour him or something.
and dunno which floor in charlie block (above bravo) got candyman. they sealed up that level or something.
and in the SRB block, the DB area always got weird sounds of people weeping and stuff.
at that time the set up was really bad la. really like 1960 kinda set up, so its abit creepy.
and once i heard these 2 ppl went to do prowling, took a rest at the canteen. then one of them stun, and pointed behind his friend and whispered "lets go" then later he said he saw a red lady smiling at him, behind his friend -

that's the old camp la, the new camp's pretty alright. i've not seen anything in the old or new camp before.
but when you go to civil defence academy to train, that's a different story. my bunk got problem. when you go ERS then i tell you. -

even in exercise pandora, which recruits are involved in as casualties, you'll be informed and prepared. -
haha i remember got one time, a recruit come up to my level to fill up water bottle. i nearly 1/2 right him.
but i kind hearted, warn him, STILL allow him to faster fill up water then go.
oh oh, btw first day, they serving nasi bryani with mutton curry i think. damn power wan la.
but i remember my first day, i no appetite, didn't like the taste of the bryani anyway, but later on, appreciated it.
and last time ERS the food was really horrible. it wasn't catered, but it was cooked by the nsf cooks. it was disgusting la. the curry chicken was tasteless and it was just a curry chicken wing. and the sotong was so disgusting, with the black gravy. the vegetables were boiled with salt, and super salty, and the rice had sand in it sometimes.
it was really crappy la.
but the catering was REALLY REALLY GOOD
but now cater, so its all good -

nice... haha... I am a Pes Bp.. I am now really hoping to get ERS... And yeah, before this i cant even do a single pull up but i have been training for 4 weeks already and i can do at least 3 now... haha... the only problem now is passing my standing broad jump... hope will get a silver for the PTP IPPT so i can have a higher chance of going ERS... lol..[/b]
but yeah, you'll "automatically" qualify.

as for standing broad jump, my pti friend taught me this method. u dun rest on your entire foot. but u rest on the front part of the foot. the heel u raise abit.
u dun need to keep swinging ur arms and try to get momentum. then u imagine there is a big hole in front of you, and you need to jump across it, and u look far away at the end of the mat.
then this is the most impt part, u know u swing ur arms right, when u swing them up, ur knees are bent and u're straightening ur knees as if u're gonna jump.
so when u swing down, u bend ur knees down, while still resting on the front part of your feet,
u swing a few times,
then the final swing, when ur arms swing up till its parallel to the ground, u jump, while ur arms continue to swing up. cannot hesitate.
confirm can get silver.
i oso cannot jump standing broad jump in the past.
hopefully your DRC or CA is Encik Ramle. he's a great man. i think he still remembers me la.
