Acid leak in Tampines factory, affected part shut down
SINGAPORE: Fourteen factory workers were taken to Changi General Hospital on Tuesday evening following a chemical leak at a factory in Tampines.
All of them have since been allowed to go home.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call about the incident just after 7pm and attended to it shortly.
SCDF officers found diluted acid dripping from a delivery pipe at AFPD Private Limited, located at Tampines Industrial Avenue 3.
The company subsequently isolated the affected part of the pipe and shut it down. - CNA/so
