Woman dies in a fire at Marine Parade
SINGAPORE: A woman died in a fire at Marine Parade on Monday.
Civil Defence officers found her lying unconscious on the kitchen floor at a 4th floor flat of Block 34 at Marine Crescent on Monday evening.
Paramedics conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her immediately and continued while the victim was conveyed to Changi General Hospital.
She was pronounced dead soon after arriving at the hospital.
SCDF said the fire was extinguished in ten minutes and was confined to the bedroom.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. - CNA/so
