i've called up my unit and they said id be in the BOC course or something.
can anyone tell me more about this please? like, is there a confinement week? what's the pay for the officer cadets? then what would i book out in? civvie or uniform? how many people are there in this course at any one time? (got tekaning or not? haha ) do i stay in bunks or book out at night? 'prestegious' or not? what can i expect to learn from this course? how do people get selected for this course?

4 the confinement wk i m not too sure...the pay for scdf ns officer is the highest i believe...scdf ns sgt pay is up to 1120bux...ns officer i believe its up to 1.4k or 1.5k? 4 officer cadets...i believe its the same as SAF OCTs?
u get to bk out in white long sleeves and black pants (similar to OCS cadets) in the early stages...den u get to bk out in polo tee and black pants as time goes by...normallie there are ard 30 cadets in each BOC...tekaning is cfm less den tt in OCS...as u will be trainnin in da same ground as the firefighters(men) and ERS (sgt course)...so the instructors there will giv slightly betta treatment to BOC cadets...its a stay in camp...bk in on sun nite...n bk out on fri evening unless u kena confinement as punishment...
in the course itself...u will learn mainly rescue, fire fighting and fire investigation, command and control...which will last for 9mths
further more...u will be goin 4 OBS course in Brunei & SG for 3 wks -

For NSF officers, they would normally be posted to BRTC and CDA to train the recruits.
Regulars would be posted to Fire station to become Rota Commanders. I am one at the moment
However if there is a shortage of rota commanders, some NSF officers would be sent to fire station.
Fire station life is much more interesting than BRTC and CDA, but the workload is also much more.
