Better way to handle JWs

  Instead of making them rot in detention, how about deploying them in SCDF? At least they can contribute something useful by saving lives as members of this noble organisation.

  they are in jail for refusing to pledge allegiance to the country and the flag .... not because they refuse to serve in the military ....
  
  you still have to sing mari kita to the flag every morning in SCDF ...

  If I am not mistaken, South Korea has provisions for conscientious objectors of military service due to religious reasons. Given our smaller population, it is not feasible. Still, I feel that treating the JWs like common crooks isn't the way to go. Surely there are better ways to handle them.
  
  On the whole, we should give them credit for willing to go to prison for the sake of their religious beliefs. That is what I call martyrdom.
