How to make it into SPO training?

Hi I'm a undergrad, finishing my last sem in nov.
I was thinking of applying as a SPO.
I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how I could be successfully selected to be a SPO trainee. I heard it's very hard to be selected. Also they said your CCA and NS appointment is very important too apart from a degree.
My deg is a normal pass deg without honours(not a straight honours course). Was a CPL (parade musician) in SAF. Short sightedness of 500 in each eye.
These are my physical attributes and history. I presume that I am a very normal or a "barely can make it" applicant. So how could I capture the manpower officer's eyes in my resume and if I am selected for interview, what can be expected and how could I score well there.

cause they really look into your degree, they prefer the top fer honours class rather than a simple pass
thats what i heard for the trainee SPO that is still in TRACOM
and in their squad, only 9 ppl
so the chances of getting in is damn hard,
u can try your luck, maybe u might get in
but dont trust your luck too much -

I heard that SPF may open up recruitment for SPO soon (rumoured only). However, SPF have not been recruiting degre holders for about a year or so. It would seem that SPF would rather sent their POs from rank and file for c-course (SPO). Perhaps even if someone have a very good degree also cannot get in as SPF may not want "inexperienced" degree holders. -
well, we got too much Senior Officers in my opinion....last time only a CO in npc, now got OO. in my opinion also, seems like they have realised that they are making jobs for SOs and not putting SOs into jobs, therefore, they limit liao loh.
ALL these is my own thinking, no evidence to prove. -
yeah.. i agree. i guess there are too many scholars as well. Heard that there is a course in Oct. It's mostly rank and file though. This is the present trend I guess. Hmm... my guess is that yes, the force is trying to recruit more female officers?
