@samz89
That feeling sucks man, failed but not knowing the reason.
Are you going to try again ?
For all those who are waiting for the offer call , are you all working ? any one who is applying is not working ?
Probably not. That was my 2nd try, will take another year of wait.
First try failed after board, 2nd prolly the same i guess since medical doesnt seem to be of much issue.
Gonna tender on Tues 23 Feb , even though have not received offer/rejection call from SPF .
Really can't take it at work anymore , lol wish me luck
Till date will be 1 month 3 weeks from medical.

I'm new here. Been reading through past forums as well as this one, so can't help but to share my pain. Haha. Applied for SPO on 2 Feb 2016! "In process" for more than a week now. So hopefully all is good for all of us :) Any females applied this year too? Hehe.
@curlzz
Hi there! I'm new here too - finally decided to open up an account after skimming through the past forums.
I applied for SPO in December last year, and only just got an invitation for the Selection Assessment on 24th Feb! I'm female too. Been a little undecided for a couple of months on whether I should apply, and I eventually just took a risk and decided to apply anyway.
On a side note: Anyone out there attending the SA next Wednesday?
@eltanin me!

@Tengteng, Oh my gosh, hey!
I've been worrying a little (read: freaking out a lot) over the details of the email, like preparing all the documents that we need to bring, the whole "formal attire but bring a t-shirt along" part as well. Female formal attire is a little troublesome, sigh.
@eltanin just throw a dress over and taadaa can leave alr..hahaha!
Im more worried about the documents actually. Need to find 😂

@Tengteng Not a bad idea actually hahaha, I was thinking of going with all black (long sleeve top, black pants). So either outfit, no problem. Thanks! (:
LOL same here omg. Good luck locating your documents! Maybe I'll see you around over there!

Hello! Congrats on the call…. I am dying here. Haha. Hopefully a call soon too! Good luck! By the way, are you currently working or still a student?
@curlzz
Thank you (: It takes a while honestly, about 7 weeks for me! I'm currently part-timing right now. I finished school last year in Dec, but my official graduation is only in July. What about you?
Hi I'm heading for the SA on 24th Feb too!
How are you going to present your transcript when you just finished school in Dec.
I'm stuck in the same situation too!

Hi and congratulations, that's great!
Actually by some stroke of luck, my transcript was delivered to my house about two days back. But I'm in a private uni, so maybe the circumstances are different for you?
I don't think it'll be a problem though, you can just explain to them that you're still waiting for your transcript but you've ended school. Maybe an unofficial transcript, if you have one?
@eltanin
I'm from a private uni as well. I was surprised that i was called for SA! Hopefully i can recieve mine as early as this week.
How are you going to collate the details of your parents/siblings to a format to submit to them?

Oh, cool! I'm from SIM-UB. Hopefully you'll get the transcript soon too then!
I'm a little confused over that part of the email as well. The email says "Information required will be Full name, Address, NRIC/FIN, Citizenship, DOB, Country of Birth, Marital Status, Occupation, Employer's name & address", but didn't really mention any specific documents or anything.
I'm assuming we just need to have these details on hand to be able to fill up some form when we get there? It sounds like that's the case. So I was thinking of just typing it out into a word doc so I can refer to it or something.
Anyone out there able to help us clarify? Would really appreciate it, thanks! (:

Np!
Heads up everyone... 😉
Hi everyone,
Any idea how long is the psychometric test and usually a person can complete it within how many hours or mins?
What is the process in the 1st stage (Selection Assessment)?
Thank you for your kind reply.
@imlester
If i remember correctly the test last from about about 1.5 hr (Varies from individual).
The first part of the test requires you to read 20 short paragraph and answer the questions, this component , It's common that most of the applicant won't be able to finish it. I only managed to cover like 50 % of it.
Second part is more to the personality test ,
e.g.You enjoy day dreaming ( 1 strongly disagree , 2 Disagree, 3 Neutral , 4 Agree , 5 Strongly Agree)
After you return from Lunch break, there will be an Essay Writing about 45 min - 1 hr , need to write at least 1.5 page. The questions are quite generic (E.g. what are your aspiration and goals in life ? It is to test your writing skills, very little percentage placed on the content, at least for my case .
Then there are alot of forms to fill up
Then lastly, body screening to see if you have any abnormalities or tattoos.
@Exvinix
Thanks for your reply. Do you still remember what time the test will start? As I had a class test at 1130am so wondering if 2 hour is enough for me to complete the test after which I will rush back to school to take my test and return back to do the essay.
Thanks
I suggest you postpone your SA and do it another day.
At time they have to wait for everyone to finish before proceed to next item. Therefore is not just about you finishing earlier haha
The entire SA will start around 9 and end at 5 pm
After waiting for 6 weeks since my medical on 7 Jan 2016 .
Today finally some news, received a call just from SPF recruitment to check on my notice period. They informed that they will let me know the result in 1-2 weeks time .
Anyone else had the same call ?
