@eidnace
When is your medical ?
.
That's weird,
i attended my medical on 7 January but have never been told to go down for uniform measurement
.
It all went smoothly for me from application to round 1 to round 4, until this afternoon when I received a rejection email from recruitment.
What I just wanna say is, to those who have applied/in the midst of their application/yet to apply, all the best in your application journey and may you get the job!
Have a great Chinese New Year holidays! (:
@andy91
don't give up, try again in 6 months.
i had my first rejection in feb 2015 , my second attempt now I managed to pull through all the stages
@Exvinix
can I just check with you, when u tried again, did u go through all stages again or u manage to skip some?
For mine cause I failed at the Ad dialogue so all have to go through again.
For your case , I think after the SA , you will go straight to Panel.
Hi all!
First thing first, Happy Chinese New Year!
2ndly, after waiting for 7 months, I finally got my PES upgraded and I will be applying for Senior Police Officer position. On the application pages through Careers@Gov, is it necessary to upload a cover letter?
If need to, who should I address the cover letter to? I have not written a cover letter before therefore I want to ask.

@Anyhoow,
Happy new year! I am not sure whether the cover letter is essential but they do print out your application from Careers@Gov and slot it in your file though. I wouldn't bet against them not reading it.
I addressed it to Sir/Mdm, since I do not know to whom shall I address it to.
I hope it helps a little. Cheers!

Hi zerozero128,
Thanks for the reply, it does help! Damn, I haven't written a cover letter before. Haha. Will try to write one though. If it helps with my application.
Anyway, how was your application? Still waiting or already accepted?

@Anyhoow,
Still waiting. Not sure what's taking them so loooong. But my friend Oct medical already received notice period enquiry. So maybe next month I hope I can get some call. 😊

I see. All the best man! Hope to hear good news from you!
@zerozero128,
Again when did you go for your medical ?
Mine was 7th Jan 2016 , damn 1 month 1 week already and still no news. The wait is really killing me
@anyhoow, btw I did not include any cover letter for both my application and still got called up. Therefore it is not necessary but good to have.
12 Feb 2016, submitted my application.
Email was sent to to me that they will get back to me within 8 weeks. Let the waiting begins......
Meanwhile, I need to get my fitness back on track, I realise my BMI is slightly over the norm at 23.9. :X
Exvinix, no news is good news, hope you receive some news soon!!!

@Exvinix
Medical was on 10 Dec. So I think there is still a long way to go. From what I read it should be around 3 months waiting. But of course, there are outliers like your friend.
Hi, just wanted to ask, other than the selection assessment which is always on a Wednesday as someone mentioned are all the other parts of the process on Wednesdays as well?
thanks for the help in advance! :)

Nope. Not all are on Wednesdays.
Hi Happy CNY everyone.
What does it take to start your SPO career as an ASP rather than INSP? Is it just paper qualifications? Your performance during interview? Performace during training? Any ideas?

I think paper qualification, i.e. 2nd Upper, is the pre-requisite. Then it all depends on your performance during the interviews as well as your working experience. Your rank should be known before you sign.
Hi guys!
I'm new here. Been reading through past forums as well as this one, so can't help but to share my pain. Haha. Applied for SPO on 2 Feb 2016! "In process" for more than a week now. So hopefully all is good for all of us :) Any females applied this year too? Hehe.
Hi ,
anyone heard or known of any cases of applicant waited more than 1.5 month after medical and got rejected ?
