@Leagle89 may i know when did you put in your application?
@deelthirteen not sure what the manpower will advise. i would think that as long as you are well enough to be able to take and pass IPPT then it should not pose any major problem.
Thanks @morrymorrytan!
Let's say I already have a full-time job upon graduation. IF (and only IF), the SPF do give me an offer, how do I go about quitting the job I'm already in? Won't you be breaching the company's contract whatsoever? How do I go about telling my company that I wanna quit because SPF is calling me, hahaha you get what I mean. My dream job is to be a Police Officer and I will do whatever it takes to be one. :D
Anyone out there have experienced this? Let me know!

Thanks Nek! Hope your interview went well!
Hi guys. Are there anyone being called up for SA?
HI, anyone from SA (1st march) receive any news about 2nd interview?
Hi @Nek, do you happen to know how many SAs are held every month?
Hi all, I recently applied (13 FEB) for the Direct Entry Inspector as a mid career switcher. Any mid career switchers here able to share their experience?

Saw your post regarding torn ACL. Get a specialist to certify and confirm that you have fully recovered. If it's certified, I think its fine.
Don't worry about breach of contract. The most the company do is deduct your salary. In your resume, put 1 month notice. Perhaps it might help.
@Morrymorrytan sorry, I didn't know the number of SA spf have. I believe the number of SA is determined by the number of applicants? One SA is around 40+ people.
@Nek hey, no problem! Thank for replying. Wow 40 is quite a big group. Hope that you get the call for the second interview soon :)
Anyone in this group has any news on upcoming SA?
@Morrymorrytan there will be a SA tomorrow, haha good luck for your application too! Pardon my grammar mistake for the post above..
@Nek No worries. This is an informal forum anyway. Do you know what is the application period for the applicants who were called up for the 15th Mar SA? I applied in end Dec but still no news as of now :(
@Morrymorrytan My friend applied on 24th Dec and got his SA on 15th March. I applied on early Dec and my SA was on 1st March. So I think yours should be within next 2 weeks or so?
@Nek thank you for the update! I hope I wouldnt have to wait till April and that they will schedule one before March ends. I heard that in the past the entire interview can be completed in 3 months. Guess they are really tightening up on recruitment now.
Has anyone been called up for interview this coming week?
Hey guys,
I have already attended the SA on first week of March. How long will I have to wait for the second part (Dialogue Session)? Is there any way I can check my status?
Oh also, in case where they reject me, will I get some sort of notification too?
Friends told me they're really tightening headcount.
Anyway, got rejected from SPO and applied for JO after the six months.. and few days later got email of rejection... like without even asked to go down.. ~_~ anybody knows why? my heart got abit cold and grey already
@deelthirteen hi, i attended the SA on 1st of march too. you can check your status at career@sg see are you still shortlisted or not. I am also waiting for the 2nd part (Dialogue Session).
Those who got rejected, they will recieve a rejection email usually is within a week i think.

I got my dreaded rejection letter from CNB after 2 months of waiting after the psychometric test...Feeling so demoralised. I was still so happy after making it past the 1st week. Not sure if CNB & SPF does things the same way.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully mine won't turn out this way. I am aware that u tried SPF last year. I am just curious, are you a local graduate?
I did applied for CNB after my SA in SPF but I was rejected a few days later. They didn't slot me for any interview session.

I graduated with one of the distant learning degrees in SIM. Somehow I keep having this feeling that it's my degree thats giving me problems despite recruiters and ppl here mentioning that there are successful applicants from SIM. Well, maybe they just struck the $10m toto draw. Why else would CNB only wait till 2 months to reject me and SPF not even giving me a chance for the SA. But whatever the cause i'll never find out and theres no point being sour over it.
I'm sure everyone of us has had this thought in our minds" How does that guy(who you deem somewhat inferior) get this opportunity while i'm stuck here?" Life's unfair suck it up. Whining and self pity gets you nowhere.
But no matter the cause, we have to come to terms with it. There are many things in life for which we can never have full closure. So all we can do is just do the best with what we have. I'm still grateful for being born in this safe country and being privilleged with good healthcare and education. (I'm sure all of us here are degree holders). Just look at whats happening in the middle east and majority of the southern hemisphere countries.
It's really has been a depressing past year for me since graduation. Having anticipated this career my whole life and being rejected just like this, meritocracy, tightening headcount or whatever the cause might be. Well, its back to trading days for dollars with uber while waiting for my next application. That being said, I sincerely wish everyone here all the best with their applications. especially those with a true selfless passion and commitment to keep our country safe. Here's a toast to you!
Hi Everyone
I applied for Direct Entry Inspector on 8 Jan. Till now, still no news. I want to check if anyone applied near that period and what is your status now (any callup for SA)? Thanks!
I just received my email for the first interview on 12 Apr 2017. Anyone else got the same email invitation?
Can someone with experience please help to let us newbies know what to expect during the first interview and the kind of questions that they expose you to on the written essay test?
Thanks so much! I'm freaking out already!
