Hi Pencilx: i waited for exactly 2 months from date of application throught the same avenue before they responded to me
My situation is the same as Pencilx. I have applied mid-aug but till now no news. Just to check with you all, how will they notify you, is it through email or call? Thank you in advance.
Hi PP35, I was notified through an email. Guessing it's the same for most.
All the best to those enlisting in the Nov batch!
Anyone here from the Oct panel?
Hi PP35 and pencilx, i applied on the 27 jul and only got an email for SA on the 5th of Oct. it was a pretty long wait. Give it probably 2 months + one week before giving a call to the career epartment (:
Hi PP35 & Pencilx,
similar situation with you both. Applied on 19 Aug. No news still now.
Status in process as well.
Lets hope they get back soon
For those who attended the 25 Oct dialogue session, any idea when the call up (if ever *cross fingers*) for the clinical interview stage is?
All the best to everyone applying :)

@naddy_ hi naddy, I actually rescheduled to 27 Oct cos when I attended I never wear formal attire (in the email got stated, I forgotten) den I got sent home and email them to reschedule lol. so far it just asked u to hand up ur photocopy documents and ur hard copies documents (to make sure u didn't do anything), after that will write the particulars about urself like ur name, home address, etc etc etc, after that will have a Phychometric test (something like computerize test), English proficiency Test and physical assessment (they will ask u to wear singlet and the officer will tell u to do some body movements and do short marching). take note that the marching must move alternate with hand and leg. Example right hand out with ur left leg out and walk and move alternately. Den that's all for the day. I will be having an interview on the 4th Nov Friday, just received the SMS, it was pretty quick man.
@fekw, usually a few days after the dialogue session they will call you up for the clinical interview.
Good luck for ur application!
@Mulberry Janice you applied for jpo right? All the best for your upcoming interview! I had everything on the same day luckily. But now anxiously waiting what's next for me
Hi Fabian,
I oso went for the Dialogue Session on 25th Oct then overseas from 27 to 31st oct but no news yet. I supose no news is good news.
Good luck 2 all.
Any idea what is up for clinical interview?
How about Panel Interview?
Cheers
Hi doraemon,
The clinical is to understand more of your background, some of the leadership experiences that you have, how do you cope with stress and challenges. Some personal questions would also be asked. They would also asked you to elaborate more on some inputs u wrote during the SA.
@naddy_ when was ur SA? Ur SA and interview is on the same day? So good.... they straight away tell u that u need to stay behind for an interview after ur tests?
Received the rejection status yesterday.
Oh well gotta reapply again after 6 months
Good luck to all
Hi everyone~
May i know if leadership experiences are necessary? What answers do i give during the interview if i do not have any, and am i putting myself at a disadvantage?
Am considering joining the SPF but have not come to a conclusion due to various reasons.
Thanks so much!:-)
@Mulberry Janice
i think it's the same routine; verification of documents, pyschometric test then physical assessment. Then during the physical assessment the person told us after this we all would be having our interview. But they call out our numbers then there's 2 groups going for interview. im not sure bout the rest of the ppl in the hall though. >.<
Hi to all who have just went thru the process, just want to know how long after the AD Dialogue will they call you up for psyc assessment/clinical interview?
Hi @GladysGMZ,
I received my call for clinical interview a few days after my AD Dialogue. AD was on Tues and the call to schedule my clinical interview was on the same week Fri.
@Hushbr0wn thank you! Was panicking a little cause mine was on tuesday but i just received a call only today (monday) hahahah!
hi all, i received an email that i been rejected. sigh, i feel so sad now. maybe i will apply again another 6 months later. :(
@Mulberry Janice you just had interview last friday right? that was pretty fast though.. im so sorry to hear that but dont give up if it's your dream yeah. im still gg crazy waiting for news.. dont know good news or bad news
@naddy_ yes, i dunno y i received so quickly man. like i said, i may have ruin my interview man. never the less i will still never give up and reapply again after 6 months. like what other people said, they waited as long as 6 months, so no news means good news haha.... btw ur interview went smoothly rite? hope all of u went well :)
any females going for SA on 16 Nov?
@Mulberry and Naddy
Hi to the both of you.. As you may not know, this is a senior police officer intake post (direct entry-inspector), hence the interview process is very different from JPO(direct entry-sergeant). Most of the post that you read here is for SPO which include 5 stages,
1) Selection Assessment
2) Dialogue Session
3) Clincial Interview
4) Board Interview
5) Medical
All this may take up to 6 months or more to process. I believe for JPO's selection process is shorter than SPO, thus you may not need to wait for 6 months to know your result. Again you may want to find a post that is related to your direct entry-sergeant which will be more beneficial to you guys. They will have more knowledges and comments to advise you.
For the rest who are actually applying for SPO, some advises from me are really show them why u choose police as a career, from what i know they are short of JPO than SPO.
When i went for SA there are at least 40 applicants, at Dialogue we are left with 20, lastly at board interview (clincial interview is one to one, so i do not know the number of people left) only 7 of us left. I know most of them at board interview because we see each other since SA, so the cut off rate is very high. What the few of us have in common is we are all doing part time job and waiting to get into SO.
All the best to those who are still applying as a SO!! will try to come online and answer some of your question if i can.. Cheers!!
Hi everyone, for mid career change, are the chances of getting into spf senior officer role equal as those who sign on before their NS or those that sign on straight after they graduate from uni? Early 30s here and still doing my Ict and clearing my ippt. So fitness wise I think I am still good lol
By the way, anyone here did a mid career change to spf and successfully join the force?
@Evoz08
Yes, i saw some of the mid career change people at dialogue session. Most of them are in their early 30s too. I am sure SPF will not filter u out just because you are above 30. However, i did not see them during panel interview. So i guess it's really depends on individual. How you answers the questions is really much more important than your age.
FYI, i think SPF maximum age to join SO is 35. So just apply and go for it.
