No news is good news.
My first application I went for the aptitude test, and got rejected 2 weeks after that. Since then ive applied online 2 more times (with the 6 months wait, so ive been applying for one year ;) ) and get my rejection email immediately 4 days after that. At this stage im just sending in applications for fun.
It was very discouraging at first but now I am abit more CBF. curious though, something seriously wrong with my background/ iq/ pes status (b2l2) ? Couldnt be because i have passed aptitude tests for even more sensitive/tougher positions in mindef before.
Have some patience my friend. I have been waiting for 3 months since medical. As what they say no news is good news.
@lois I've received it. Also on next Wednesday same time. It's a full day assessment
I have dropped SPF recruitment to inquire on the Status . Let see what is the reply.
@Exvinix you mean after applying? I waited for like 6 weeks until I receive the email for SA.. and judging by the experience from older topics for senior officer they did mentioned that from applying until they successfully get the position it took around 6 months.. suggest you continue working first.. I'm finding temp or part time first until I confirm to get the posiiton offer

Hi Exvinix,
I also attended the medical review, but one day after yours on the 8th Jan.
Totally understand how you feel right now, but hang in there! Think of it as at the very least you have a source of income, and that alone is a very good thing.
I got a scary call from shentonparkway today asking me to go for 2nd round of blood tests cause they have some findings in my medical review. Told that I can go down anytime, so I'm heading down tomorrow earliest possible just to set my mind at ease.
@Exvinix, yeah, just give them some time. Not sure what is going on but i am sure they are not sitting on it. I'm feeling a little restless now too. From what I see we may still get rejected, so better not to tender first. :)
Hi Exvinix , DennisL !!
I am so glad this thread exist, literally loosing my head from the wait. I did my medical on the 12th Jan, so I guess we are waiting for the news at around the same timeline.
All the best! I will keep my eye peeled for updates!
My email to SPF
"I went for my medical screening on 7th Jan 2016, till date is already 2 weeks.
May I Inquire from you on the status of the application? I understand that it might still be in process but are you able to provide some information like when can I expect to hear from SPF and when is the likely intake period if being short listed ?
I will need to do some overseas planning and really appreciate if those information could be made known. Thanks"
Their reply.
"Thank you for your email. As we are currently still processing your application, we are unable to give you any estimated timeframe. However, please be assured that we notify you of the outcome once we have obtained it.
We seek your kind understanding and patience in this. Do inform us of your overseas period for our information. Thank you. "
My friend attended medical on 7th december 2015. Last Monday received offer call . Intake is 21st March 2016
Hi Exvinix,
From what I know, the intake occurs once every 2-3 months. So I'm guessing yours might be slotted for the May/June Intake.
The friend you mentioned... is he a fresh grad or currently working? That might be a factor too.
@claviature
He is currently working

@jason toh,
That's long , still no news ? I think maybe you should contact them to check it out . My friend attended Medical in December has already received Offer Call.
Oh man, going to be CNY soon but still no news .
Hi all! I had just received my offer yesterday. Will be going for attachment on 22 Feb as told and official training to start on 21 Mar!
To those who are waiting, good luck!
@jasontoh,
You not working ? don't need to serve 1 month notice ? lol
Hey guys,
I'm really glad to find this thread because I'm getting quite confused on all these.
I'm hoping someone would be able to answer my questions!
I'm currently a year 3 undergraduate, I have another year to go before graduation.
Am I supposed to apply for it AFTER graduation or should I apply for it 6 months prior my graduation? Since I've read the 2015 thread and found out that the application process takes really long.
Or should I apply for this now LOL because of the possibility of rejection? Then I have to wait for 6 months each time?
Just wondering though, @Exvinix did you apply as a fresh grad or after working for a few years?
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for their outcome!
