After I got my email for SA I asked for a reschedule. Currently a month since my
request. I've a pending ICA offer, not sure if I should just accept it already. Anyone here had the same experience?
Seeing people that reapplied and then getting the offer brings about a sort of hope for the rest who were rejected and still gunning for it.. (Thanks
I was wondering though, if anyone here knows of any individual that failed the SA(First stage) but somehow managed to get an offer or maybe even proceeding to dialogue after reapplying?
I've been searching around for this individual online since I was rejected and praying that the failure of the SA isn't some sort of dead end for this path..
I'd sleep so much better if anyone knows of such a story to shed some light on.
Cheers!

Is the wait for the SA quite long? will they reject only at the 8th week? got rejected from ica one on the very last day ie 8th week from date of application.
The wait is daunting :(
Seriously, ICA so long then give reply?

I think it depends on what you wanna do. SA is really just the 1st stage. I don't think ICA can wait for you for so long. So is either accept or reject the offer ba.
Anyway, I am currently applying for ICA, can share a bit on the stages and how the interview is like? Perhaps what kind of interview questions they asked you?
is it normal to wait more than a month for offer call after medical check ? im applying for senior prison officer. still waiting for the call
Rivera, it would probably help if you had some idea on why you got rejected from the SA? Perhaps you felt that a certain component (e.g. writing) was particularly difficult?
If it is something that can be improved on, I'm sure you'll be able to put in the work to do so. It is for sure that individuals have failed the SA and yet made it the second or even third time. One of the many reasons is that people do have off days and it is understandable. Plus, the fact that the SPF allows re-tries regardless of the failed stage speaks for itself.
I have heard stories of people trying multiple times (>2) and eventually succeeding. Just keep trying!
Hi guys is anyone going for the dialogue session on 21st June? And can anyone share what this dialogues session is all about like, what are we gonna be doing haha. thanks!
itsminadi,
the dialogue session is a pretty typical 2-on-1 HR sort of interview; questions such as 1) tell me about yourself 2) what do you think a spo does 3) tell us about your leadership experiences.
They are also likely to ask about current/ recent issues. For example, they can ask about prominent online bloggers and writers (shall not name names) and your views on them.
Good luck!

For me, there were 5 ppl at the interview. Mainly 1 or 2 will ask you the questions. I was asked Why I want to join, if family is ok with me joining, why specifically police force, give example of leadership experience, do you think you have what it takes to be a police officer, what is your biggest weakness (what are you doing/are you doing anything to overcome it)..
I think i got lucky with the questions, but also cos i didn't have much work experience. I would say just go in with confidence, take your time to answer in depth and elaborate on your answers.

Anybody know the stages ICA go through? Is it the same as SPF?
I failed with SPF, so I want to try with ICA first then try to switch over to SPF after that.
I got the same dates too!! 30th June attachment, 18th july commence training..

Hello,
I will be attending the board interview tmr as well. Sent u a pm :)
@kazewind hey how is it? Have you gotten your SA date?
I just submitted my application last week. anyone else applied in the past 1-2 months and waiting for SA too?
@leandra me! I applied in late May and received the invitation email today!
My SA is on 13 July but a friend who applied around the same time as me got 21 July as her SA date. Anybody knows if it is possible to change my date to the later date? I might not be able to attend my allocated slot but I'm afraid that they'll make me wait another 2 months for the next batch of invitation.
Anyone can advise what do females usually wear at the SA? Formal Shirt/Pants? or normal office wear + blazer?
