Havent heard back since the SA on 4th May. Anyone in the same boat?
Hi all! I will be graduating this August from SIM-UOL, with honours grades around 2:2, without leadership experiences in university, was a CCA leader in secondary school and was class vice-chairman in my poly days... Considering to sign on for inspector rank... What are my chances of getting in without leadership experience in Uni? Any advice?
Anyone applied for Senior prison officer? care to share the outome?
@Louiseeeeeeeee
maybe you should give it a try, it shouldn't affect much. i don't have much leadership experience during my university life as well. i just went for my diagloue and still waiting for reply from them
@jaredL Thanks for sharing! It's my childhood dream to become a police officer now that I'm given the assurance that there will at least be an interview, I'm much relieved! Is it convenient to tell us whether you do get accepted or not? 
Hi there! I just finished my SA on the 19th May but I applied for the position of Police Officer only.
Can anyone who recieved notifications for medical be able to tell me if the medical appointment date is set by them or you can choose the date cos I might be taking a event job for 2 weeks and I am worried they might call me up anytime during the 2 weeks.
Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone!!
@Louiseeeeeeeee
I just went for stage 2 or the dialogue session. Still got 3 stages to go, provided i get through the dialogue. haha. so i cant tell you if i am accepted at this stage. but i hope for the best!

Went to Senior Prison Officer Selection Assessment just few days ago. So here's a summary of my experience (hope I did not left out anything)
- Document check
- Take height and weight
- Color Blindness test
- And everyone will be gathered into a conference or meeting room for questionaires (situational based multiple choice questions like what are the actions you will take for certain situations)
- Then is a video screening to more about the job of Senior Prison Officer and how their training is like
- Then a mass Dialogue Session with everyone included
- Intro and why you want to join SPS. And base on your job, the interviewer may ask you things regarding to your job and how it is related to being a Senior Prison Officer. The interviewer is very good at asking questions base on what you say, so be careful with that.
- Open question with no right or wrong answer for everyone to answer to see your opinion. Interviewer will take note of who answered.
Report time is 8.30am and should be finished between 12pm to 12.30pm.
Hi, does anyone know anything about the SPF A scheme for NSI?

Got rejected by both SPF and SPS :(
Having rejected by SPF, may I ask something.
If I want to re-apply, I have to wait 6 months right?
Is it 6 months from the application date, or 6 months from the rejection date?

Hey, rmb me? We went for SA on same date. I got rejected too :(
Guess we gotta work other jobs first and reapply again.
Just a qn, if we got rejected in dialogue session and after 6 mths we reapply. Do we have to go through SA again?
@sold_separately: Thanks!
@xf1r3x: Yea, I remembered you, but don't know how you looked like even though we attended the same SA, hehe. Aww, sorry to hear that. I applied for ICA. Not sure how long they will take to reply. If I can get into ICA, probably I will serve the 1 year bond, get some leadership experience and then try with SPF again. If ICA reject, then I'll find a new job, and then try again 6 months later.
Not sure if we have to go through SA again tho.

yes you guys have to go through the same SA again! I met a guy during my SA and he is a second timer...
Just wondering if i should drop them an email as ive waited a month since the medical check up :(
got rejected at diagloue stage too. :(
.
Been a month since my request for reschedule of SA. Really afraid they would leave out my name ):
Submitted my application on the 12th of may but status changed to "In Process" only on the 16th of may or so that week.
Is the wait for the SA quite long? will they reject only at the 8th week? got rejected from ica one on the very last day ie 8th week from date of application.
The wait is daunting :(
.
@kazewind yeah I think it typically takes a month for any news! Mine took a month to contact me for SA
so which stage are u guys at @sold_separately and @tagnit ?
