Re: Yellow note received from SPF

  Hi all,
  Woke up this morning and received a "Yellow note" from the police at my door step.
  It states "Message from the police", wondering what type of offence could it be? Was told to call the IO stated in the note but couldn't reach her and haven't receive any replies since.
  
  A little anxious and curious about what it might be, any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA.
  
  P.s. It's a small yellow note around the size of a common brochure.

  no official letterhead?

  may not be from the police but from someone who might need your help in his/her case

  Hi thanks Fireice. It is just a simple yellow note with title "MESSAGE FROM THE POLICE".
  Nothing much written on it except the IO contacts and a reference number. First time in my life receiving such a note so I'm abit anxious....

  I suggest calling the police hotline found on http://www.spf.gov.sg/ (Police Hotline 1800 - 255 0000) to verify the authencity of the note. For all you know, the "IO" might be a fake and is trying to pull a scam. Eitherway, if the note is real, you don't have to worry if you done nothing wrong. If it is proven to be fake however, do make a police report as soon as possible.

  Thr yellow note is usually it's more of seeking assistance from you as part of investigation; you may not be linked to the case but police needs some information from you. If it is a criminal case involving you, police will send you a different letter/summon.
