  For panel interview.. just be confident of yourself and show them you are well prepared (besides current affairs, try to find out what kind of scenarios police officers should and shouldn't deal with, one of my friends kenna becos she didnt read up on this and gave the wrong ans..) No matter how absurd you think your response is and how stern-looking the interviewers are, just be sure of yourself and stay calm! also, they are not going to repeat qns they asked during AD dialogue (at least not in my case). they will ask deeper qns abt the SPF force, so try to be honest in your opinion :) anyone else still waiting for the call after medical checkup?

  Anyone with any news with regards to the next intake? Any news of it being in April? Or will it be the aforementioned June?

  Long wait after missing out on Feb batch

  @kaching, I went for the medical on 6 Jan,  have been waiting for the results since then. The wait is making me anxious:((

  Hey arcelyn, I have checked with recruitment recently that there will most likely be an Apr intake!

  Hello thngzy! Your medical was on 24th Feb? That's the same day as me! We might have met each other already :) Have the recruitment contact you regarding your notice period and/or full length photo yet?

  Finally since 2 Jan medical, I was informed that the next intake will be in 5th May, orientation starts on the 29th April. Before that recruitment side is likely to put us on attachment in Division for 2 weeks.

  Nope, the recruitment have not contacted me for anything yet. How about you? 

  Anyway since there will be an orientation on 29th April,  I hope recruitment can call me early since I asked for a one month notice period.

  Oh they have asked for my notice period and 2013 CPF statement.. I need one month notice period too. Seems like we might just be in the same batch if we both passed :)

  Congrats to you!!!!! Gosh, it took 2 months to receive the call? But at least it's earlier than the Jun intake.. Hmm.. what kind of attachment is that?

  Man.. I hope they can call me soon too but my medical is in end Feb :S

  When was you contacted? I had my medical on 3rd Jan so should be roughly the same timeline as yours. Did you need any notice? 2 weeks in division means starting from 15th April?

  I have also been waiting for the call since my medical screening 2 months ago >.< I didn't require a notice period. Made enquiries for the past weeks and heard there's an intake in April but they can't confirm the actual date. Good to hear there's one coming up in early May though!
  
  On the flip side, does anyone know if the recruitment side will email/ call us should they reject our application? (No way to check on careers@gov since the status has been removed after a 6-months wait) Or will they leave us hanging without notifying us?

  Same concerns over here. But probably will not leave us hanging!

  They will probably inform by letter if rejected. But highly unlikely because you guys have made it this far to the medical stage! Hopefully the call will be made soon, then a congratulation will really be in order. :)

   

  I have only just went for SA mid this week. Awaiting for results (and hopefully NOT rejection letter :( )... Still a longgg wayyy tooo gooo...

  Hi Sahsah!

  The AD dialogue consists of questions like asking for your strengths and weaknesses, asking how you would handle conflict between yourself and a more experienced junior officer, whether your parents are supportive of your decision to apply for SPF SO and if you have applied for any other jobs.

  IMO you can't really prepare for AD, just answer confidently (:

  Hi All, I am not sure how much it has changed since the time I went for my interview but I guess most of the aspects mgmt is looking out for are: Composure, ability to relate and converse well on your thinking as well as keen interest. The usual qns include: Tell me more about yourself Why are you interested in SPF What can SPF improve on Do some ground work to know about the force before going to the final interview. I know it is a daunting task to speak up in front of many senior officers but we are also very keen to get to know you better. As for psychometric test and interview with phychologists, be honest and tell them who you reallt are. Don't give cock and bull stories or answers on who you think you are cos your answers will not be congruent. All the best and good luck! Klv

  Good luck for your AD! I haven't gotten the invite for AD dialogue yet. Just a few batches behind you. :) So far no rejection mail, so cross fingers (and toes :x) will receive invite within a week or two hehe.

  Will be interested to know how it went! Do update ya? :)

  Pretty much similar info as posted before. Next batch in early may, Orientation in end april. Good luck to those waiting for the call!
